Last Treasure~ Walker's tree!

Walkers tree. Planted 1996. The trunk I could wrap my index finger and thumb around it, making a computer circle and aprox 7ft tall. Autumn red flame maple. We will miss visiting the Walker tree every fall in its splendor and glory! May you maple grow big and tall to replace the maple tree that was cut down to build this house!

Last Treasure~ Canada Calgary Temple

We were so blessed to have a personal tour of the temple the night before the temple dedication. Our dear friends the Elfords were assigned to go and clean 10pm-12am. So they has us come and help and showed us the beautiful grandeur and detail. We washed the marble stairs that the Prophet would probably walk on.

Thanksgiving Parksville trip~ 2012

A photo speaks a thousand words
We had, had a crazy busy week but we had booked the weekend long ago and our trailer was ready. So we headed off to Parksville. So much to do at home but a well worth it getaway. We watched conference, made thanksgiving dinner, walked the dogs a lot and gelled as a family. It was wonderful and the weather was superb.
DEAR Mother,

I love you from the bottom of my heart! I am so grateful that we have a living day prophet and like you I got a lot out of conference! over 30 pages of notes! one point I got was about the temple standard is what I am doing as a missionary am I temple standard, if the savior was my companion what would he do! there are many other things that I got out of general conference I dont take pride in saying I got 30 pages of notes I look at it as I have a lot of things I need to improve on, I am not the perfect missionary and I will do my best in being the best I can be!

This week I have to say was a fun one on tuesday I was able to go on an exange with Elder Purnell, he sure misses Sarah but that isnt his focus and I am glad at that, I am super glad I have the opportunity to meet him! tell Sarah and Amanda that I have done my best to take care of him and make him feel loved! he really is supposed to be here! I love him as many others do!

this week was a slow one I dont know what the Lord is trying to tell me but I think there is something big coming! I love the work! I am constantly trying to become the best I can be, I have to say when we get on a skype chat in christmas, You might find someone different! but I guess we shall see I guess ehh haha I love you lots mother so much in deed that I know that the seperation between us will grow our love for each other immensly

I went on an exange with someone a lot like Elder Everett and we had so much fun. I did my best to leave him better that we started we had loads of fun knocking on peoples doorsteps in the first FALL OF SNOW!! of the season it was very wet and the truck registered -2 so I was happy I could be able to experience that hahaha!

I dont if I could ever explain how much I love you! you are the best mother anyone could have!

love Your Son Elder Connor Moore s

My Dearest Elder,

WOW! Wasn't conference superb? One of my favorite talks was by Jeffrey R Holland. He's such a prize fighter in the battle for good. He's without question the Captain Moroni of our day!
Others we enjoyed were David Bednar, Uctdorph, Thomas S Monson, Henry B Erying and much more.......But hearing President Monson announcement about missionary age change was monumental. I don't know why or how or when, but I feel touched that it's inspired. So many YW are already readjusting their lives and of course Brady has taken it to heart. He definitely feels the Lord knows his heart and true desires to serve a mission. He still needs to graduate and get to next summer, and not to mention raise the funds. But this announcement allows him to start his papers now and get them down before we move. But we have been trying to figure out life for Brady with cadets, work and rugby, student council etc....this seems to make it more clear.
Life is great and much more clearer after conference. It clears the fuzzy worldly stuff and gives you a wonderful Heavenly perspective.

Some thoughts that I got from conference were:

1. I need not fear
2. I need to be a better disciple of Christ
3. I need not worry, the Lord knows me personally and watches over all.
4. He knows my trials and he's guiding me thru them
5. I need to keep focused and trust in the Lord

We are excited about going to Calgary and seeing the temple. Wish we were there for the open house..

This weekend we went away up to Parksville. Clara and I took a art class. We listened to conference. Took the dogs for lots of walks and enjoyed the wonderful sunny sunshine!
We actually had a crazy week last week and really didn't want to get away but we needed it and we are ready to head back. We are going to stop in Coombs for the bird sanctuary, Englishman river falls and McCabs corn maze(remember last year?)

This week the kids have temple trip on Saturday. We have our Nanaimo team staff dinner. Stake conference and Ya a short week! Priest/laurel conference is Oct.18-20th Vancouver and we leave on the 24th-29th for Calgary.(Grandpa's Queen jubilee award presented by the governor general) I am sad that we'll be at the awards and miss the TYC.

I am so grateful for my family and many many blessings. I am grateful to be alive and be a mother to some fine children. I am grateful for the little things and it's my greatest desire to live in Thanksgiving daily. We have so much to be grateful for and truly heavenly Fathers blessings are abundant all around. I am grateful for the service bug in our family and the gift of forgiveness and love!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Love you tons!
Have a wonderful day!
Love always,
Momma

Last Treasure~ wiped out puppies

One minute they were playing, the next they were fast asleep snoring.
