Family home evening lesson

Articles of faith
#13.
We (the Moore Family) believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul-We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.

you raise me up - josh groban with lyrics

Today I am happy~ Not for huge things in my life, but then they made me feel huge/happy.
But for the little things.
I am grateful for my Maker (Heavenly Father)
I felt his love for me in little things today, oh so much!
I am very overwhelmed that he trusts me sooo much, but I can't do it without him.
He's always on my side, helping me along.
Sometimes I walk in a grey cloud and long for days like today.
I am grateful for my life. It's not perfect, but I LOVE it!

Look what my Dear husband wrote for his 25 things to be grateful for:
Here’s my list of the 25 things I am most thankful for this year:
1. My awesome wife who is also my best friend.
2. My six smart, funny. beautiful and handsome children.
3. My home that keeps me warm and safe, and the one we hope to sell.
4. My country where I enjoy a tremendous amount of opportunity and freedom.
5. The peace and security in this country that seems more and more rare in the world.
6. The chance I get to write and freely express my opinions here on facebook.
7. That people (like you) actually read what I write and find it useful and entertaining.
8. My job/business that enables me to do so much. Thankfully, I have the opportunity to make a living when many do not.
9. My health and soundness of mind -> (questionable at times).
10. My parents that taught me so much about how to live a great life.
11. The safety we have had through storms and cold rain lately.
12. That my Love for anything with wheels
13. That my BC Lion who have had the best football season ever and will take the Grey Cup on Sunday.
14. That my kids are doing go to school and seminary without complaint well almost, and the blank report cards that came home, thanks to the teachers.
15. That when I turn on the faucet, clean, fresh water miraculously comes out, and the love our family has for our deer Mexican people in Tecate.
16. That I get to freely worship my God in the way I want, out in the open, without fear of reprisal.
17. That our business is medical based and didn't feel much of the poor economy that surrounds us.
18. That I have a warm, soft, clean bed to lay down in each night.
19. The hugs I get from my kids, and wife.
20. For the little weekend trips we’ve taken together as a family this year.
21. That I get to work with a bunch of really nice, smart and dedicated people.
22. The feelings that well up inside when i see my kids accomplish goals.
23. The health system that looks after my family
24. The love from all of my family members near and far.
25. And last, but certainly not least, all the FOOD!

I am grateful for these points and that i have the opportunity to share them!! ~ Gerry Moore

we left our hearts in Mexico!

This is a BIG part of Our Christmas this year!
This is the real reason for Christmas!
This is not Our Christmas!

This is Our Christmas!
I think of Mexico and what we have worked so hard to change.
Change in making Christmas more of service and less of things.
Christmas of Love and family.
When I think of not going down to Mexico, my Heart aches.
But we need to do the best for Our family.
Mexico is where we go to heal.
Heal from a world of stuff, more stuff and even more stuff.
Where there are no boundaries of love and service.
Where we give and realize that we have it pretty darn good and we don't need but want.
I will accept the Lord's will, wherever he wants us this year.
I know we cant have everything we want and I will be grateful for wherever my family is.
Because Christmas is about Love!

ships passing thru the night

So Gerry and I both prayed and know he's meant to take
this course and do his practicum.
It's just really hard parenting 4 days a week on my own.
We are starting to get into a system.
We tiptoe around better while he sleeps during the day
and I'm learning to put myself to bed at a decent hour
(hard to sleep when Ger is away)
Ry has handled the change (it was hard for him at first)
The kids need him the most and Ger has developed a plan to spend time with them
taking turns each week.
I am grateful for my dear husband.
